I know, I know, I just posted yesterday. I try to space my posts out a bit, but I am just way too excited to share this recipe with you guys! I originally found this on He and I , but I changed it just a wee bit to my likings. It really is to die for! So moist and not too sweet! And its so simple to make! Seriously, if you can make a cake from a box of cake mix, then you can easily make this. (Because that's what you use!
I make this coffee cake for my family–they look forward to it and it all gets eaten–but I’ve also made it to take to group gatherings and everyone loves it. It’s a very buttery moist cake that’s good for breakfast, brunch or tea time. It’s not low fat, but you can substitute whole wheat flour for regular flour, so there is something you can feel good about! And, if you take it to a group gathering, you don’t have to worry about eating the whole thing yourself! Another thing is that there are 3 different fillings that you can put in the middle, or, you don’t have to put anything and just have a yummy plain cake that you can serve with fruit. There is also a glaze recipe at the end. I like the cake plain, but it does make a pretty cake with the glaze drizzled on top. This recipe comes out of my red Betty Crocker cookbook.
