Hundreds helped kick off the Christmas season at the 20th Annual Christmas Festival "A Christmas to Remember" at Skinner Plaza in Hagåtña yesterday.

The Chamber of Commerce has hosted the event since its inception.

With fun for the whole family, the annual Christmas event brought festival participants the Christmas spirit.

Denise Mesa brought her daughter, Lisa, 3, to the event. Mesa said the event made her feel like it was "beginning to look a lot like Christmas," and got her excited for the holidays.

Mesa wanted to bring Lisa out to see Santa and be around other kids. Mesa appreciated that the event was very family-oriented and had a variety of free things to do.

There was free popcorn, cookies and cupcakes for the kids to eat, as well as a wide variety of food families could buy. There was a "Santa's Workshop," where kids could pose with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, as well as some elves.

One booth allowed the kids to write letters to Santa and place the letters into a red mailbox to be sent to the North Pole.
