Buddy the "elf" and his pals from the North Pole are coming to the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts in St. Paul with "Elf: The Musical." The show is a musical adaptation of the already-classic 2003 Will Ferrell movie about a human who grew up in the North Pole and travels to New York City to find his father. The show opens Wednesday, Dec. 5, so we caught up with some elves to answer a few burning questions. As you may know, they're a little busy this time of year, so they worked together on the answers.

Q: Can you give us some tips for putting on tights without getting runs or holes in them?

A: Bambi says, "Personally, this fails to be an issue as my hands are always glossed in the remnants of a sugary candy-cane."

Q: Are there any special tooth-brushing techniques when you live in a world of candy canes and cocoa?

A: It's important to brush for a substantial amount of time.

Writer and otherwise funny guy Robert Smigel. Presumably, they will abandon the epic take and craft something more suited to Sandler's sensibilities, something involving a successful but lazily-dressed husband and father to wife and children that do not look like they should be with him. After all, while Sandler is always eager to participate in anything intended for the stupidest juveniles, he'll only play if he gets to pick which guy he gets to be.

As if the idea of a movie based on the CANDY LAND board game didn’t sound bad enough from the get-go, prepare to cringe as the planned flick just get a whole hell of a lot worse. Now that its deal with Universal pictures is coming to an end, freeing them up to take a number of their toy adaptation projects elsewhere, Hasbro is in negotiations with Columbia Pictures to bring CANDY LAND into their fold, under Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison production company with Sandler himself starring.

Ugh.

Do I really need to say anything else?

Adam Sandler running through Gum Drop Mountains, talking in baby voice with his usual gang of friends making up the rest of the cast, farting up a storm? Oh, yeah… this is a genius move.

Somehow Sandler’s career has continued with success after all these years of him basically making the exact same movie. Speaks volumes about the general public’s standards for entertainment, huh? I just… I don’t understand why… I… forget it. I can’t.
