It figures, it's a show that comes with a PG rating because it looks at fairly adult stuff, says director Steven Sayer. Not a show suitable for young children, but mature teens will enjoy it.

We'll have puppets bonking on stage. Puppets tangled about their sexuality, two-timing in their relationships. Puppets will laugh and cry about their jobs, their lives, their humour black as cop coffee . . . laugh before you cry. Some racism. A bit of porn, some rudeness. A little coarse. Raunchy, it delves into situations that make most people squirm a bit.

The puppets are the front face of each character, manipulated by actors who use their voices and bodies to create the musical's cast. Not ventriloquism, it's more like an echo-mirror effect. The human half of the puppet supplies mobility, voice, body language and tension, holding the half-body puppets on one arm and using their other hand to manipulate the puppets' hands, mouths and head movements. The puppets are the face or focus, with the actors projecting character through them.

Gordon Ramsay heads to Bellmore, New Jersey where he finds a local eatery on its last legs. The Mixing Bowl faces an influx of competition and has almost no customers. The owners have lost their spark and their marriage is crumbling. No one throw tomatoes at me, please, but I think Mike was kind of a victim of editing here.. if he was a woman, GR would NEVER say half the things he did.. I found myself not liking Mike but I couldn’t really figure out why. Then I realized that in this episode, starting from Gordon’s “when’s the last time you had a salad” comment, he was kind of set up as the villain, most likely because the owner is so sweet and every episode of this show seems to need an antagonist. Anyone else?!?!?...

Greetings to you all! Hope your New Year has started off with a bang. Speaking of the New Year let us forget those resolutions about diets and what we eat. I have been told time and time again that bread is fattening. Eat a roll and you will wear it the next day! Nonsense I say. Eat and be happy. Just remember to stay active and all those carbs will be your friend. There is not much more pleasing than the smell of  fresh bread baking. Have you not walked by a bakery and had the aroma grab attention of your senses. If you deny the pleasures of the palate, you deny yourself. I myself do not want to live in denial but live to the fullest. Enjoy the simple pleasures, and fresh bread is simple. The reason for the wine in the picture is simple. The French who create delicious wines and breads understand one thing. Fermentation. Fermentation is a chemical process where sugars and yeast combine to create a reaction.
